Strength Analysis of a Two-Layer PETF-Concrete Column with Allowance for Contact Interaction between Layers

This article develops an idea of mechanical recycling polymer wastes. Unlike previous research studies, which are dedicated to the study physical and properties fibrous concrete technology its manufacturing, this work considers a specific construction product—laminated column made recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PETF). Currently, there no policy documents (standards or codes) regarding engineering design such constructions. Therefore, authors’ attention is focused on mathematical modeling laminated behavior under operational load. An analytical two-layer PETF-concrete column’s stress-strain state was performed, taking into account contact interaction between inhomogeneous layers materials. It has been determined that, in certain circumstances, pressure can have significant effect load-bearing capacity column. In general, method assessment columns’ developed.
